The Catalytic Effect from Alkaline Elements on the Tar-Rich Coal Pyrolysis

Tar-rich coal has been widely concerned because of its high tar yield. Two kinds tar-rich coals were studied by Thermogravimetric-Mass spectrometer-Fourier transform infrared (TG-MS-FTIR) to obtain the pyrolysis characteristics. TG-MS-FTIR was used study mass loss, gaseous compounds evolution, and functional group information during pyrolysis. Mass loss is mainly caused water release macromolecular decomposition. The results showed that there two stages in process. In addition, gas signal detected spectrometry consistent with FTIR. main products include H2, H2O, CO, CO2, CH4. effect ash content on oil-rich catalytic internal minerals are also discussed, thermal characteristics coke-rich oil put forward. provide a new idea for coal.
